List of 12 Inclusive Minority Scholarships
While there are many scholarships specifically created for exceptionally talented minorities, there are also many non-military and veteran scholarships that are more inclusive when it comes to being eligible. If you identify as a minority, one or more of these scholarships may be right for you. Due to Covid-19, some scholarships appear to be paused but don’t give up. These opportunities are worth bookmarking and checking back on when you finally decide to enroll in a veteran friendly college.
ABA Diversity Scholarship (Travel Industry)
Awards a total of $100,000 in scholarship multiple awards
Description: For traditionally underrepresented groups in the management and operation ranks of the transportation, travel, and tourism industry. Eligible candidates must have completed, at a minimum, their first year of college at an accredited university; must have a declared major or course of study relevant to the transportation, travel, and tourism industry; and must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay discussing the role they hope to play in advancing the future of the transportation, motorcoach, travel, and tourism/hospitality industry.

ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship (Healthcare Management)
Awards $5,000
Description: For minority students in healthcare management graduate programs.

Actuarial Diversity Scholarship
Multiple Awards $1,000 – $4,000
Description: An annual scholarship program for Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American and Pacific Islander students who intend to pursue an actuarial career.

American Library Spectrum Scholarship
Awards $5,000 per semester.
Description: Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada and must be American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander and must attend an ALA-accredited graduate program in library and information studies or an ALA-recognized NCATE School Library Media program. Must be enrolled in an accredited program and must be able to meet the requirement to maintain a minimum course load of two classes per semester.

AMS Underserved Communities Scholarships (Meteorology)
Awards $6,000 ($3,000 two years in a row)
Description: Awards funding to minority students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. Funding for the scholarships is provided by donations made by members to the AMS Giving Program. The two-year scholarship is distributed once per year during freshman and sophomore years (second-year funding depends on the successful completion of the first academic year).

CVS Health Minority Scholarships (Pharmacy)
Awards 5 scholarships of $8,000 each
Description: For underrepresented students enrolled in a dual degree program pertaining to Pharmacy.

EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program (Atmospheric, Oceanic, or Environmental disciplines)
Awards a total of $45,000
Description: For students who have completed their sophomore year, attending minority-serving institutions (MSIs), and have recently declared, or are about to declare a major in atmospheric, oceanic, or environmental disciplines that support these sciences. You must be a U.S. citizen currently enrolled or accepted as a full-time, second-year student in a four-year program.

Fontana Transport, Inc. Scholarship Program
Awards a total of $5,000
Description: For underrepresented, low-income, and first-generation college-bound students. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree full-time in transportation, math, science, engineering, architecture, environmental design, PreMed, psychology, and Spanish language/literature. The applicant does not have to be a U.S. citizen but must have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

The Leon Bradley Scholarship (Personnel Administration)
Two Awards of $3,500
Description: For minorities or persons of color to enter the field of teaching and school leadership. The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) believes that it is beneficial for all students to experience diversity among the educators who serve as role models for our students.

The National Press Club Scholarship for Journalism Diversity
Awards $5,000
Description: The National Press Club encourages further diversity in journalism. The scholarship consists of a $5,000 one-year scholarship, which can be renewed for up to three years at $5,000 per year. Applicants must be high school seniors with a grade point average of 3.0 or better who are preparing to enter college and intend to become a journalist who will bring diversity to U.S. journalism.

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship For New Americans
Awards $90,000
Description: The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans are for up to 2 years of graduate study in the professions and academic disciplines at any institution of higher learning in the United States. The prestigious Fellowships are funded by a trust established by Paul and Daisy Soros. In order to apply, you must be a New American who is 30 or younger as of the application deadline; must be a college senior or early in the graduate programs. Fellows are selected on the basis of merit.

The RTDNF Carole Simpson Scholarship Awards
Awards $2,000
Description: For minority sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the time the scholarship is awarded and be pursuing careers in radio, television, or digital journalism. Winners must be officially enrolled, full-time sophomores or above in good standing when scholarships are awarded.
