Getting a degree in architecture can set you up on a nice career path. Here is a list of scholarships that students pursuing a degree in architecture may be eligible for when enrolling in a military friendly college or other institutions.

Diversity Advancement Scholarship

Multiple recipients, $20,000

The Details: This scholarship is to help minority students pursue a successful career in architecture. Students must either be a high school student who is planning to enroll in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program, a rising 2nd-year college student in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program, or a technical school or community college student who has completed high school and intends to transfer to a NAAB-accredited architecture program.

Architects League of Northern New Jersey Scholarships

Multiple recipients, $6,000

The Details: This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students for scholastic excellence in Architectural design. College students must have permanent residence in the geographic territory of the AIA/Architects League of Northern New Jersey. The territory is Bergen County, Hudson County, Passaic County, and Sussex County.

The Barbara G. Laurie Scholarship

One recipient, $5,000

The Details: This scholarship is from the AIA/DC and the Washington Architectural  Foundation for Washington DC high school students that are entering undergraduate architecture programs. The award is for $5,000, and the students can receive $5,000 a year until graduation if they stay in the program and maintain a good grade point average. Students must be residents of Washington DC and either a high school student who will be completing high school in the DC or surrounding area who will be entering a degree program at a school of architecture as a college freshman or be currently attending a technical school or community college and will be transferring to a degree program in architecture.

Allwork Scholarship

Multiple recipients, $7,500-$10,000

The Details: This scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that supports architecture students with demonstrated financial need. Students must be nominated by the dean or chair of the school of architecture. Students need to be seeking their first degree in architecture in the state of New York. A graduate student is eligible if his or her professional undergraduate degree is in a field other than architecture.

Lewis Cenker Scholarship Fund

Multiple recipients, Varies 

The Details: This scholarship is by the Home Builders Association of Georgia. The scholarship is for qualified students that are seeking a career directly related to the home building industry.

Soprema Scholarship Program

Multiple recipients, $5,000

The Details: This scholarship assists undergraduate and graduate students that are pursuing degrees in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a similar field. Students must be at an accredited 4-year college or university. High school seniors or graduates, as well as current post-secondary undergraduate or graduate students, qualify.

The Association For Women in Architecture Foundation Scholarship

Multiple recipients, $2,500

The Details: This scholarship is for women students who are studying architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, and/or land planning, interior design, or environmental design leading to a college degree. Students must be residents of California or attending a school in California. They also must have complied a minimum of 18 units in their major by the application deadline.

Diversity Advancement Scholarship

Multiple recipients, $20,000

The Details: This scholarship is to attract, inspire, and invest in the next generation of the profession. It is a multi-year scholarship totaling $20,000 that can help fund a student’s college education. It is open to high school students planning to enroll in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program, rising second-year college students in a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program, or students at a technical school or community college student who has completed high school or its equivalent and intend to transfer to a NAAB-accredited architecture program.
