Chemical Engineering Scholarships
If you are majoring in chemical engineering or a similar major, you are going to want to find ways to help pay for school. Luckily, there are plenty of scholarships out there. Here is a list of scholarships for chemical engineer majors.
ACS Scholars Program American Chemical Society Scholarship
Multiple recipients, Up to $5,000
The Details: This scholarship is for underrepresented minority students majoring in undergraduate chemistry-related disciplines and interested in chemistry-related fields.

ACS Project SEED
Multiple recipients, Up to $5,000
The Details: This scholarship, by the American Chemical Society (ACS) is based on achievement in school success in the Project SEED program. It is based on financial need and is meant to assist former SEED participants as they transition from high school to college. Students must be high school seniors, plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university, and must have worked at least one summer in the Project SEED program. They also must be planning to pursue a degree in chemical science or an engineering field such as chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, materials science, or some other related major.

Heinlein Society Scholarships
Multiple recipients, $4,000
The Details: The Heinlein Society offers a couple of different scholarships. The Virginia Heinlein Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship for undergraduate students attending four-year colleges and universities. It is for female candidates majoring in engineering, math, biological, or physical sciences. The Yoji Kando and Jerry Pournelle scholarship is for candidates of any gender.

Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation
Multiple recipients, Between $500-$2,500
The Details: This scholarship is for high school students or post-high school students attending undergraduate schools or a technical school in the US. They must be working towards a degree in the STEM field and have a demonstrated learning challenge of dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia. The money can be used for tuition, books, testing, tutoring, assistive technology, or other resources required to obtain accommodations.

Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship
Multiple recipients, $10,000
The Details: This scholarship is open to those studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. Students must be enrolled full-time. Preference will go to those who have demonstrated leadership capabilities and those with a compelling personal story and/or family circumstances such as being a member of a military family.

Olin E. Teague Scholarship
This scholarship doesn’t appear to be currently active!
One recipient, $4,000
The Details: The National Space Club and Foundation offer a scholarship in memory of the honorable Olin E. Teague, a representative in Congress who aggressively supported our national space program. The scholarship is to encourage talented young people to pursue careers in aerospace fields. Students must be graduating high school seniors at an accredited high school.

Recycling Education and Research Foundation
One recipient, $2,500
The Details: The Recycling Education and Research Foundation sponsor a graduate scholarship to individuals seeking a graduate degree in programs that support scrap processing or the recycling industry as a whole. Students must be admitted to an accredited graduate educational institution as listed by the US Department of Education. They should be studying one of the subjects listed on their website, which includes chemical engineering.

SAE International Undergraduate Scholarship

The Details: This scholarship is open to freshmen through seniors pursuing a STEM degree through an ABET-accredited program. It is need based. The money could be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses.

Yanmar/SAE Scholarship
One recipient, $1,000
The Details: This scholarship is for incoming college seniors or graduate students at the time of application. They will need to be pursuing an engineering or related science degree through an ABET-accredited program. They need to be pursuing a course of study or research related to the conservation of energy in transportation, agriculture, construction, and power generation. Emphasis would be placed on research or students related to the internal combustion engine. The award can be used for tuition or any other incidental school expenses.

The SEE Education Foundation Scholarship
Multiple recipients, $1,500-$7,500
The Details: This scholarship is for students who must be or plan to be pursuing a technical, undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate degree in a field related to the commercial explosives industries.

APS/IBM Research Internship for Undergraduate Women
One recipient, $2,500
The Details: This scholarship is from the American Physical Society and IBM with the goal to encourage women to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering. Anyone who identifies as a woman may apply. Students must be a sophomore or a junior at a US college or university at the time of application. Students must be majoring in chemistry, physics, materials science or engineering, computer science of engineering, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering or biology.

The Desk and Derrick Educational Trust Scholarships
Multiple recipients, Varies
The Details: This scholarship is by the Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs (ADDC) for the purpose of awarding annual scholarships to students attending accredited colleges and universities offering degrees in geology, chemical, and petroleum engineering. In order to qualify students will need to have completed or be currently enrolled in their second year of undergraduate study at an accredited college or university. They will need to demonstrate a need for financial assistance in pursuing a college degree as well as planning a career in the petroleum, energy, or allied industry, or research and development of alternative fuels such as coal, electric, solar, wind hydroelectric, nuclear, and ethanol.
