American Association for Women in Community College National Board Scholarship
Multiple recipients, $500
The Details: This scholarship is for a $500 award per region to one student who meets the national board scholarship criteria.

Association of American Geographers (AAG) Darrel Hess Community College Geography Scholarship
Two recipients, $1,500
The Details: This scholarship is awarded to two students who attend a community college, junior college, city college, or similar 2-year educational institution who will be transferring as geography majors to 4-year colleges and universities. It is funded by Darrel Hess, the author of McKnight’s Physical Geography: A Landscape Application, published by Pearson. Students must have completed at least two transfer courses in geography.

The California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment (CCCSE) Osher Scholarship
Two recipients, Up to $1,300 per academic year
The Details: The California Community Colleges Scholarship Endowment (CCCSE) offers scholarships to over 3,000 students each year at over 90 California Community Colleges. The scholarship supports those with financial need. Students must have completed 24 units of degree-applicable study, be enrolled in at least six units for the next semester, and qualify for a California College Promise Grant.

The Career and Technical Scholarship Program
Multiple recipients, Up to $2,500, $625 each semester
The Details: This scholarship is funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund and the generosity of Association Chairman Emeritus and Endowment Fund President Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarships are for students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the US. Students will also need to be under the age of 30.
The Deadline: Due in April for high school students, due later in the year for those not in high school.

Jeannette Rankin Scholarship
Multiple recipients, $2,000 the first year, up to a max of $10,000 over the next five years.
The Details: The Jeannette Rankin Scholarship is for students 35 years old and older, who are low-income, and pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree or their first bachelor’s degree. They will need to be enrolled in or accepted at an accredited institution.

Guistwhite Scholarship Program
Multiple recipients, $5,000 over two years
The Details: With the Guistwhite Scholarship Program students must be enrolled in a minimum of six semester credit hours, or nine quarter credit hours of associate’s degree, college-level coursework. They must also be a member of Phi Theta Kappa and be in good standing. They need to be intending to transfer to a regionally accredited 4-year college and be admitted into their field of study with a minimum of six credit hours. There is also a minimum amount of credit hours that they will need to have completed before applying.
The Deadline: May for the Spring, and December for the Fall.

The Hites Transfer Scholarship
10 recipients, $7,500
The Details: The Hites Transfer Scholarship is funded by a scholarship endowment established in 2010 as a result of a matching grant from the Hites Family Community College Foundation. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six semester credit hours, or nine quarter credit hours of associate’s degree, college-level coursework. They must also be a member of Phi Theta Kappa and be in good standing. They need to be intending to transfer to a regionally accredited 4-year college and be admitted into their field of study on a full-time basis. There is also a minimum amount of credit hours that they will need to have completed before applying.
The Deadline: May for the Spring, and December for the Fall.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Multiple recipients, $500-$5,000
The Details: The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a University degree. The scholarship is open to high school students, undergraduate students, community college students who are transferring to a 4-year anniversary, and graduate students. Awards are based on merit and all majors and graduate fields should apply. There is an emphasis on STEM majors.

Your Own Community Colleges
Community Colleges usually have their own scholarships you can apply for. Make sure to check with your own school to see what they have to offer. They could be open to all students, based on financial need, or merit-based.
