SVA Partners with CollegeRecon
The “School Rater” tool will allow current and former students to review the school they attended based on how well the institution supports student veterans and military-affiliated students.
Student Veterans of America (SVA) is pleased to announce a partnership with CollegeRecon based on a shared goal of empowering student success to launch the School Rater.
This tool allows current and former students to review the school they attended based on how well the institution supports student veterans and military-affiliated students.
“We recognized that CollegeRecon already provided rich data on schools to help members of the military community make informed decisions about their education,” SVA National President and CEO Jared Lyon said. “What we saw missing was the personal component that would provide a more complete picture by merging qualitative and quantitative data.”
This data will be made available to future students to help inform their decisions about whether or not to attend a college or university. The ratings include four areas of measurement: admissions process and experience, academic support, veteran and military support, and overall level of recommendation.
The road to success starts with military-affiliated students “finding their fit” by choosing a school with the right support programs for their education goals. While veteran and military support programs provide a portion of the picture, the School Rater will provide a more comprehensive view for military-affiliated students.
