Ranked as the most diverse campus within the University of Wisconsin system, Parkside campus prides itself on being an easily relatable campus for student veterans. Why is that? Their campus is comprised of students of all ages.

I decided to take a look into UW Parkside to see what’s going on on campus to help student Veterans feel supported and comfortable.

Already Have Your Bachelor’s Degree?

Maybe you’ve already tackled a bachelor’s degree and you are interested in a master’s, or professional degree program. You can search through UW Parkside’s extensive course catalog for all degrees.

The Flexible Option Program (for students who have loads of other responsibilities other than just studying) offers nontraditional students the option of getting a degree more affordable and attainable.

“We support students by designing custom-tailored degree programs that meet the needs of today’s demanding job market, as well as students’ unique curiosities. Combining academic disciplines can energize new pursuits and discoveries, so we encourage students to create the interdisciplinary course program that suits their interests.”

For The Curious

But, it’s not only about degrees and minors. What about those curiosities you’ve always had?  That’s what mini-courses are for at UW Parkside. Why limit yourself to just your area of study?

Rated by its students, Parkside is currently ranked at 3.8/5 stars.

“The class sizes at Parkside are smaller than many other colleges in the UW system, which makes it easy to form relationships with not only peers but also professors. We have a diverse student body and faculty staff.” — Samantha, a junior at Parkside

What Is Happening On Campus?

After a thorough read of University of Wisconsin Parkside’s  The Ranger News, I concluded that a copious amount of different activities and programs go on on and around campus.  *ADVICE* Give the online edition a read of any an all institutions you are considering to see if it sounds like a place you’d like to be.

Veteran Student Reviews

How about some first account reviews of the Veterans programs on campus?

We found the Parkside Military Veterans Organization online page. There are loads of pictures from different events organized outside of campus for student veterans at Parkside and their families (including a Brewers game!). It’s a private online group forum so only veterans and military personnel attending Parkside have access to it.
