Let’s Compare The Apple Student and Military Discounts

As a service member or veteran, and a possible student, there are many options for you to get a discount using either the military one a company might offer, or the student one. Sometimes, one discount is better than the other.

Apple offers both an education discount for students, and a military discount for veterans and those who have served in the military.

If you are interested in either one of these discounts, you might be wondering which one would be best, and how the discounts compare to their regular prices. Here is a list of the different products, what the discount would be, and how much the regular price is, based on April 2019 prices. All of these prices are the “starting at” prices which means these are based on the most basic models of each product.

However, it is good to know that it is there. With both, there is a special store you would need to shop at after being verified.

IMPORTANT NOTE: While the military discount is generally a better deal for you across the board, there is one notable exception – The MacBook Air.  The military pricing is listed at $899 while the Student pricing is $849.

The Apple Education or Student Discount doesn’t apply to as many products.  Notably the Apple Watch and iPhone are not included as a part of this Apple Education discount.

Please note pricing can change at any time.  When ready to purchase please make sure to check the Apple website for current pricing.

The Veterans and Military Store discount is for current and veteran members of the US military to include the national guard and reserves as well as their immediate family. Go here to start shopping.
