Save Money on Laptops and Computers with These Student & Military Discounts

Whether you are going to school, want to play games, or work from home, you are going to need a laptop or computer. While some companies or schools might give you a device, you may need or want to buy your own laptop or computer. While a new computer can be an expensive purchase, you can save some money using student and military discounts on laptops and computers. Here are the companies that offer them.

The Exchange

One of the first places you will want to check for a new laptop or computer would be your local Military Exchange. You can find products for a good price, and won’t have to pay any tax on them. This can make a huge difference on higher-priced items. You could end up saving between $50-$100 based on the price of the product and what you would normally pay for taxes.

HP

HP or Hewlett-Packard sells laptops, desktops, gaming PCs, and more. They have the HP Frontline Heroes Store for military discounts on laptops, computers, and more. They also have the HP Education Store for student discounts. For both, you can find a savings of 40%, and will need to be verified with ID.me.

Apple

Apple products include the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and more. They have a Veterans and Military Store and an Education Store with student pricing. While Apple offers discounts to both veterans and military, and students, you will be able to save a little more with the apple military discount.

Dell

Dell has laptops, desktops, 2-in-1 PCs, home computers, and more. They give out both a Dell student discount and a Dell military discount on laptops and other products. You can also get 10% off with Veterans Advantage for the military, or save up to $400 off of a PC with UNiDays with a student discount. With Dell, there are different options for discounts and in some cases, you might be able to save more with the military discount.

Microsoft

Microsoft has laptops and computers, and the popular Surface Pro and other Surface products. You can find 5-10% discounts for students and the military. With their student and military discount, you would get up to 10% off eligible computers and accessories, 5% off of Surface Pro, and free Office 365. Some exceptions do apply. You would need to sign into your Microsoft account to get started.

Lenovo

Lenovo sells 2-in-1 laptops, business laptops, gaming laptops, desktops, workstations, and more. With the student discount, you can save up to 65% on select Student PCs and Accessories, plus an extra 5% discount with ID.me. With the military discount, you can save 5% with ID.me.

Best Buy

Best Buy has laptops, desktops, monitors, gaming PCs, and more. While there is no Best Buy military discount, they do have a Best Buy School Student Hub with student discounts. Within the hub, you can find lists of items college students would need and other information about tech for college students.
