If you are preparing to go to graduate school, you are probably curious about scholarships you can apply for. Here is a list of scholarships for graduate students. Keep in mind that most of them do have a specific major or career goal to apply.
American Indian Graduate Center Fellowships (AIGC)
Multiple Recipients, $5,000
The Details: This scholarship is open to graduate students who are enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, Alaska Native group, a state-recognized tribe in the US, or those who can provide documentation of ancestry to possession of one-fourth degree Indian blood of a state or federally recognized tribe in Arizona or New Mexico.
You will need to have a completed financial needs analysis, and must be in a full-time master’s program pursuing a master’s in business administration, a master’s of taxation, or a master’s of accountancy.

Native Forward STEM Scholarship 2023-2024
Max of $30,000 each, actual amounts, and the number of awards will be determined based on the number of funded students at each academic level.
The Details: This scholarship is open to graduate students who are enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, Alaska Native group, a state-recognized tribe in the US, or those who can provide documentation of ancestry to possession of one-fourth degree Indian blood of a state or federally recognized tribe in Arizona or New Mexico.
Students will need to be pursuing degrees full-time at an accredited institution in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

Ford Emerging Voices Scholarship

One recipient, $5,000
The Details: The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation’s partnership with the Ford Motor Company supports scholarships for two female students based on an essay written on a certain topic. The winner will receive $5,000. The selected winner will be given the opportunity to be mentored by an Alliance for Women in Media Board member.

Lydia I. Pickup Memorial Scholarship
The award is around $3,500, two available
The Details: This is an SWE (Society of Women Engineers) scholarship program that provides academic awards to women in graduate programs studying in a range of engineering fields, from civil and mechanical engineering to computer science. You must be a full-time student at an accredited graduate school in engineering.

Goldberg-Miller Public Finance Scholarship
The award is $20,000, one available
The Details: This scholarship was previously called the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship and is funded by the Girard Miller Foundation. The scholarship is open to full-time graduate students who are pursuing an advanced degree and should have a relationship with state and local government finance.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation
The Details: They offer two scholarships, one for merit and one based on financial need. Both scholarships are a one-year-one-time-only scholarship for full-time students enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution. You will need to demonstrate community service and involvement.

Mary Elizabeth Lockwood Beneventi MBA Scholarship
The award is $2,000, one available
The Details: This scholarship is for a student attending graduate school full-time at an accredited college or university and majoring in business administration. This scholarship is sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution but membership in DAR is not required.

Rick Guggolz Memorial Scholarship
The award is $2,000, multiple recipients
The Details: This scholarship is open to post-graduates who have a major or coursework in the field of Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or a Business related field. The scholarship is for tuition and fees.

Violet and Cyril Franks Scholarship
The award is $5,000
The Details: This scholarship is to support grad-level scholarly projects that use a psychological perspective to help understand and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness. It is made possible by the generosity of Violet Franks, Ph.D., and Cyril Franks, Ph.D.

Barbara A. Cooley Master’s Scholarship
The award is $1,000, one available
The Details: This is for a master’s level student and can be spent in any way. The winner will also receive a complimentary student membership in SHAPE America. You would need to be currently enrolled in a health education program at an accredited college or university in the US or US territory.

Frederic G. Melcher Scholarship
The award is $8,000. There are 2 available.
The Details: This scholarship is for the professional education of men and women who intend to pursue an MLS degree and who plan to work in children’s librarianship. That would mean serving children up to and including the age of 14 in any type of library. US or Canadian citizens.
