Getting a degree in education is a perfect career choice for those that want to teach the next generation, at any grade level. From younger children to graduate students. There are many scholarships out there for those going into education and planning on becoming teachers. Here are 7 of them. 

Early Childhood Educators Scholarship Program

Multiple recipients, $2,250-$4,500

The Details: This scholarship to increase the quality and availability of teachers and care providers to work with young children and youth in inclusive settings. Students must be a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts.

This is offered to those studying in fields including early childhood education, child and family studies, child care administration, child development, child guidance, child psychology, family studies, or human services.

The TEACH Grant Program

Multiple recipients, $4,000

The Details: This grant program is for students who qualify for the federal student aid program, are enrolled at a school that participates in the TEACH Grant Program, and sign a TEACH Grant Agreement to serve or repay.

The AFCEA Educational Foundation

Multiple recipients, $2,500-$5,000

The Details: The official site for this program includes a variety of scholarships, including this one up to $2,500 for students pursuing a graduate degree for credential/licensure to teach a STEM subject at a US school in grades K-12.

Montessori Teacher Education

Multiple recipients, Varies

The Details: This scholarship is for aspiring Montessori teachers. Students should be accepted or already enrolled in an AMS-affiliated teacher education program at the infant-toddler, early childhood, elementary, or secondary level.

Nancy Larson Foundation

Multiple recipients, $1,000

The Details: This scholarship is for college students who study to become elementary school teachers. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have declared an elementary major can apply.

The Ruth Crymes TESOL Fellowship for Graduate Students

Multiple recipients, $1,500

The Details: This fellowship is for those who are Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages members who are graduate students enrolled in a TESOL/TEFL graduate program, or a closely related program, and who plan on working on a graduate study project during an upcoming academic year on a topic relevant to TESOL or TEFL. The award is for $1,500 and convention registration.
