With the new year brings new opportunities. Some opportunities in particular are all of the scholarship application cycles that just opened up on January 1, 2019. This is your comprehensive list of military scholarships 2019 for those serving in the military,  veterans and military dependents.

By applying to these military scholarships you can offset the cost of an education and reduce what ultimately comes out of your wallet.

The Corvias Foundation

The Corvias Foundation offers specific scholarships strictly for military family students, both military children and spouses. Applications are due by February 14, 2019.

South Carolina Federal Credit Union

The South Carolina Federal Credit Union offers $50,000 in scholarships each year. Applications are due by February 21, 2019.

Scholarships for Military Children Program

The Scholarships for Military Children Program applications are due by February 15th.

Army Scholarship Foundation

Army Scholarship Foundation is open to Army spouses and children. Applications are due by April 15, 2019.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation offers scholarships to children of U.S. Marines. Applications are due by March 1, 2019.

American Veterans National Scholarships

American Veterans National Scholarships is for veterans, children and grandchildren of veterans. Applications are due by April 30, 2019.

Army Women’s Foundation

The Army Women’s Foundation Scholarships recognize the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional and economic fulfillment. The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The Legacy Scholarship Program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, community service, letters of recommendation, and need. Community College and Certificate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $1,000. College, University, and Graduate Program Legacy Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500.

National Military Family Association Scholarships

Military Spouse scholarships range from $500 to $2500. Applications are now open.

The Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarships

The Pat Tillman Foundation offers scholarships to active duty, veterans, and their spouses. The Application cycle opens Feb. 1 & will close at 11:59 p.m. (PST) on Feb. 28.

ThanksUSA Scholarship

ThanksUSA Scholarships is specifically for military dependents and spouses. Scholarship applications are accepted between April 1 and May 15, 2019.

Veterans United Foundation Scholarships

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship is for spouses or children of a deceased service member or veteran.

Hope For The Warriors Scholarships

Hope for the Warriors Military Spouse & Caregivers Scholarship is for Post 9/11 spouses and caregivers.

Folds of Honor Scholarships

Folds of Honor Scholarships are for spouses and children. The Scholarship application is open February 1 – March 31, 2019.

Army Emergency Relief Scholarships

Army Emergency Relief Scholarships are for spouses and children of Army soldiers. Scholarship applications for dependent children are due by April 1, 2019. The application cycle for spouse scholarships opens on April 1, 2019.

National Ranger Memorial Foundation Scholarships

Ranger Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for qualified Rangers of all ages as well as as well as family members that have sacrificed to support all Rangers..Applications must be received by June 1, 2019.

AFCEA War Veterans Scholarships

AFCEA War Veterans Scholarship is for active duty honorably discharged U.S. military veterans. Applications are due by April 12, 2019.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Sport Clips Scholarships

VFW’s Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship provides service members and veterans with financial assistance to complete their educational goals. Applications will be accepted from January 1 through April 30, 2019.

Ankin Law Office Scholarship for Military Veterans

Ankin Law Office Scholarship for Military Veterans offers scholarships of $1,000 each to Military Veterans or immediate family members and Disabled Veterans. These scholarships differ from most others as the veteran can choose between trade/vocational schools, 2 year or 4 year universities.

Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Scholarships

Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Scholarships are available for college-level education of members of the AAAA, and the spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased AAAA members.  Applicants must first complete and submit the pre-qualifying form, then once accepted to apply, applications must be submitted by May 1, 2019.

Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund

The Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund is designed for qualifying family members of U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officers including spouses and children. Applications postmarked after April 1, 2019 will not be accepted.

The Folded Flag Foundation

The Folded Flag Foundation scholarships are specifically for college-bound military spouses and children. Applications are accepted through May 15, 2019.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

Freedom Alliance Scholarships are for the children of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in an operational mission or training accident. Contact info for this scholarships is: wanda.cruz@freedomalliance.org.

Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) Scholarship Program

The Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) Scholarship Program was established to provide additional financial resources to dependent children of Coast Guard personnel embarking on undergraduate college/university studies. Annually a $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the outstanding applicants on a one-time basis.  The number of scholarships granted each year depends on available funding. Applications and all supporting documents must be submitted no later than February 28, 2019.

Dolphin Scholarship Foundation

The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation Scholarships were created to ease the financial burden of undergraduate and vocational education for eligible members of the U.S. Submarine Force & their dependents. Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2019.

Earl Jennings Puckett Memorial Scholarship

The Earl Jennings Puckett Memorial Scholarship is for dependent children of US Veterans. This scholarship is part of the Patriot Legacy Fund. The application cycle opens on March 1, 2019 and all applications must be submitted by April 30, 2019.

James Gerald Thomas Memorial Scholarship

The James Gerald Thomas Memorial Scholarship is for dependent children of US Veterans. This scholarship is part of the Patriot Legacy Fund. The application cycle opens on March 1, 2019 and all applications must be submitted by April 30, 2019.

Dudley D. “Pete” Combs Memorial Scholarship
